Fragrance blending is an art form... traditional perfumers that work for the famous fragrance houses study for years to master the art and science of perfumery blending. The perfumers standard repertoire consists of essential oils but also of synthesized chemicals that mimic the constituents (chemicals) of essential oils and other natural ingredients. Perfumers use synthesized chemicals and chemicals extracted from essential oils because they are often cheaper than using pure essential oils and because the chemicals are standardized and will be more consistent in aroma. Here at Pure Bliss, we use only pure essential oils and pththalate-free fragrance oils. Our frangrance blends are characterized as clean, fresh, green, or citrusy scents. You won't find heavy florals or musks here (although some floral or musk may be added to a blend to balance out the top notes)

Essential plant oils are prepared for use in bath and body products in several different ways. Most are prepared by steam distillation, a process in which the flowers, leaves, or other plant parts are heated by steam from boiling water. The vapors that result then pass through a condenser that separates the scented water from the essential oil, which is siphoned off into a separate container. Other methods of extracting essential oils include expression, or squeezing, which is limited to citrus oils; enfleurage, in which flower petals are placed on a bed of purified fat that soaks up the essential oils; and maceration, in which the plant parts are crushed and covered with warm vegetable oil that absorbs the essential oils.

Natural Orange Grapefruit:

A glorious, zesty, all-natural citrus blend! This is my favorite eye-opening, synapse-jump-starting scent in all the world Blend of: Orange Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Ginger Oil, Lime Oil, Peppermint Oil, Bergamot Oil, Galangal Extract.

Natural Rosemary Mint:

An all-natural alternative to our popular Aveda-style rosemary-mint fragrance. A brisk, clean, blend that's a real eye-opener in the morning shower (and very Aveda-like, to boot)! Blend of: Rosemary Oil, Peppermint Oil, Lavandin Oil, Spearmint Oil, Anise Oil, Ginger Oil, Geranium Oil, Galangal Extract, Clary Sage Extract.

Pure Lavendar EO:

Pure and clean, fresh lavender essential oil. One of the most loved pure essences in the world.

Bamboo Sugar Cane:

Fresh, clean and green, like spring in a bottle. Blend of Lime, Musk, Lemongrass, Vanilla

Bamboo Zen Tea:

Lotus flowers augment the green echo of bamboo and jasmine tea, mixing fragrance of the earth, magnificence of mountains and rivers, moisture of rain and dew with late afternoon sunshine. A slower pace in a quieter, serene space where one is comforted being with exotic flowers and the green grass that reaches for the heavens. Bamboo Zen Tea is a lovely combination of bamboo, green tea, orchids, camellia, with subtle notes of watercress, vetiver, and cedar that add complexity and clarity to the overall fragrance, and is one of our signature fragrances.

Bonsai:

A complex and sophisticated 'zen' fragrance consisting of citrus lime and pine on a background of cedarwood with the barest hint of light floral on the dry down. Everyone has loved this fragrance, especially the men. Clean, clear, unisex scent.

Coconut Lemongrass:

(BBW type) This fragrance is a duplication of the BBW fragrance. Originally inspired by a traditional Thailand fragrance, this blend is a mix of zesty lemongrass and fruity pineapple. With middle notes of lily of the valley and peach to temper the citrus, the blend has top notes of coconut and sandalwood.

Creamy Coconut:

(a BBW type) The scent of roasted coconut and sweet vanilla. Bath & Body Works Type. This works great for scrubs!

Creamy Milk:

Just love at first sniff! Our version of this fragrance can easily be one the best comforting fragrances in the market. This sophisticated milky fragrance is a wonderful combination of sweet and creamy fresh milk notes, wrapped in fluffy clouds of delicate powdery notes with a warm soft background of pristine florals and sweet buttery musks.

Fresh Woods:

This is FABULOUS year round for an upscale clean scent: Like being whisked through the forest in a one-horse open sleigh! Top notes of cedar, pine sap, and balsam lead to mid-notes of jasmine, lilac, and fresh citrus, with soft, sweet bottom notes of amber, precious woods, and vanilla.

Green Tea & Bamboo:

I loved this instantly... and unexpectedly! Indulge in an oriental experience with this beautiful, uplifting fragrance. Ceylon Green Tea top notes are combined with a tenacious crisp rainforest type green accord of rain washed bamboo stems and leaves, oriental lily and apricot nectar, blended in harmony with the essence of jungle red ginger blossoms and a touch of white musk. The staying power of this lovely fragrance is amazing. It's much more than you would expect!

Lemongrass & Sage:

This fragrance is a perfect blend. Lemongrass top notes with a fresh lightly herbal background of sage to smooth and round out the lemongrass which makes this one a scent you can't put down. It sticks beautifully and makes a lovely light creme colored soap. A true Unisex fragrance. It has been "male tested" and approved, try it on your favorite male and see.

Lemon Verbena:

Fresh and sharp, but beautifully balanced with crisp herbal notes. This European favorite has a clean, bodacious lemon scent and is gaining popularity in the United States. Lemon Verbena was brought to Europe by Spanish explorers in the 17th century from Argentina and Peru. There it was grown for its fabulous lemony oil that was used in expensive perfume and toiletries.

Oakmoss:

Opens with bottom notes of oakmoss absolute, sweet caramel, tobacco flower, heliotrope, and jasmine supported by woody notes of amyris. Oakmoss is a heavy fragrance, sweet with earthy notes of green galbanum, complimented with a powdery musk. Smooth, sweet vanilla and amber base notes pull everything together to create a velvety smooth fragrance with mossy undertones. It is a sexy, masculine fragrance by itself, but is also a perfumery staple for blending your own unique 'fougere' blends or to add depth and warmth to other fragrances. Oatmeal, Milk, & Honey:

Just as the name implies, a soft, wholesome blend of oatmeal, milk, honey and almond. Great in the goat soap!

Olive:

Luscious, clean scent: Blend of Olive, Lemon, Lime, Lavender. Comparable to: L' Occtaine

Tassi Lavender:

As the rare Tasmanian Lavender essential oil is known locally in New Zealand, this fragrance has a clean floral lavender scent, with little (if any) medicinal or camphorous undertones. It was not until I was graciously gifted a small vial of Tasmanian Lavender essential oil that I fell in love with this ancient and timeless flowering herb with beautiful flowers in hues from blue to purple. Tassi Lavender has a lovely uplifting sweet herbaceous scent with a crisp and airy balsamic woodsy undertone. Marvellous for calming down the mind for work or sleep - Soothes away the stress and tensions of the day. Tasmanian Lavender essential oil is not easily available on the market, because it is produced only in limited quantities. Almost the entire harvest is exported for use in top quality natural perfumes. This fragrance oil captures the air of tranquility, and the subtle fragrance of this exquisite lavender essential oil at a price that is affordable.

Vaniglia del Madagascar:

This spectacular duplication of the worlds finest vanilla fragrance, the original created by i Profumi di Firenze is a MUST for vanilla lovers. It was originally described as "A lust & exotic blend of the vanilla orchid & vanilla bean imported from Madagascar." However, that description simply doesn’t do justice to this magnificent fragrance. The very natural scent of rich and dark vanilla bean extract with delicate floral undertones and a slight hint of chocolate that give the fragrance a wonderfully deep & rich character of its own.

Virgin Island Water (Creed type)

Virgin Island Water won a four-star review by The New York Times, a duplicate from the famous House of Creed. Celebrate the beauty and exuberance of Caribbean paradise with this fresh, citrus scent.

Brown Sugar Spice:

An intricate combination of brown sugar, spice notes, and green tea. Buttered citrus top notes of lemon and orange give way to a luscious middle of maple, nutmeg, green tea, and jasmine. A soft, sumptuous bottom is provided by musk, sandalwood, and vanilla.

Creamy Pumpkin:

A slightly different rendition of a holiday favorite, Pumpkin Pie. Creamy Pumpkin lets the delicious aroma of the whip cream and the pumpkin pie have top rank, with the spices being more subtle in this blend. Rich and creamy smelling, for me this smells like a perfect holiday pumpkin pie minus the crust.

An irresistibly cool and clean blend. Top notes of Siberian fir needle meld with tart Granny Smith apple, lemon zest, and pineapple. A floral middle of lily of the valley and frosted jasmine petals leads down a big snowy slope to bottom notes of glacial woods and rich patchouli. Irresistible
